Wednesday Farmers Market at Everett Station

In The Beginning 1993

This year starts the Celebration of the Everett Farmers Market 30th Anniversary in Everett Washington.

In 1993 by Marie Brayman with a big vision, and was able to put just a few vendors, in an empty unpaved lot just west of what is now Lowes Hardware store it was known as Eagles Hardware at that time.

Prior to this location in Everett, Marie had put together a local market in Mukilteo.

Marie had the determination and patience to stick with it to get the market off the ground and nurture it through its early growing pains, then known as the Everett Marketplace.

Old time vendors remember standing on large rocks in the rain and mud, with water running between their feet, waiting for customers to find the market. The market was a member of the Washington State Farmers Market Association.
